Junior Handling Competition

The Junior Handling Competition follows the FCI Guidelines for World and Section Junior Handling Competitions.

There will be pre-qualifying rounds for Junior Handlers (aged 10 to 17 years) during the mornings of Thursday 30 th of September, Friday 1st of October, Saturday 2nd of October and Sunday 3rd of October. The semifinal and final for the title of 2021 World Winner in Junior Handling will take place in the Ring of Honour during the afternoon of 3rd of October.

The handlers participating as representatives on behalf of the national kennel clubs of the different FCI countries are automatically qualified for the final and can not participate in the pre-qualifying rounds of all 4 days. In order to be allowed to participate representing the kennel club of their countries, all the handlers must be authorized by sending the following Entry Form, rightly filled in and signed/stamped by his/her national kennel club. Only one representative per national kennel club and country is admitted and there is no fee to participate. The representative of each country must be citizen of the country he/she is going to represent.

All the Junior Handlers between 10 and 17 years of age who wish to participate in daily competititons can sign-up online. The price of the entry for each competition is 20€/day. After entering online, it is necessary to send the authorisation to be allowed to participate. If one of the participants manages to be qualified among the three finalists in any of the qualifying rounds, he/she will no longer be allowed to participate in the rest and will go on straight to the semifinal on Sunday, losing the right of reimbursement of the money that has been paid for the rest of the days.

Every day, the judge selects the best three of each open competition without placing them. The three junior handlers qualified from each day are qualified to participate in the semi-final to be held on Sunday afternoon.

Prejudging of representatives

On Sunday will be running prejudging of Junior handling national kennel clubs representatives in ring of Honour.

Final

The Final Junior Handling Competition must be arranged on the last day of the World Dog Show Brno 2021 in the Main Ring just before the group finals and Best in show finals.

The best five handlers from the semi-final will compete in the final with the national kennel clubs representatives.

The judge will select the best five junior handlers of the World Dog Show 2021 and will place them accordingly. The winner will be awarded with the title of 2021 World Winner in Junior Handling.

In addition, on Wendsday 29th of September , in the frame of the Brněnka CACIB Show, the competition for the title of Brno 2021 Winner in Junior Handling in the CACIB Show will be held. This competition will not qualify for the WDS. The price of the entry for each competition is 20 €.

The dogs for Junior Handling must be entered for an individual participation in the World Dog Show or in the Winner Show.

The registration period ends on 30th of July 2021.
